
Crossroads Safehouse has positions available for both TRAINED and NON-TRAINED volunteers.
TRAINED VOLUNTEERS are those people who will be involved in programs involving direct client advocacy.
The time commitment for each program varies. The average time commitment is between one to four hours per week, and there is always the potential to do more.
These volunteers must complete 30 hours of training to work at Crossroads Safehouse. Training sessions of 30 hours each are held three times per year.
Due to limited class size, volunteers are asked to complete an application and schedule a 30 minute interview with the Volunteer Coordinator.
Trained Volunteers are needed for the following programs:
We ask that you commit to staying an active volunteer for at least 20 weeks .
NON-TRAINED VOLUNTEERS are needed for a variety of activities and programs that do not involve direct client advocacy. This is a great way to get involved without the larger committment or while waiting for another training session to start. Non-trained volunteer opportunities depend on the needs of the agency at the time, by may include:
