Director of Development & External Relations

The Director of Development & External Relations is responsible for securing funding resources via government grants, individuals, annual sponsors, an annual fundraiser, and 3rd party events. This position also develops and executes on marketing initiatives that promote additional funding and development communications. Works under the direction of the Executive Director and supervises resource development staff.

Substitute Advocate

Crossroads Safehouse operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide safe housing and services to victims of domestic violence and intimate partner abuse. The sub-advocate position provides crisis intervention, advocacy, emotional support, information, and referrals by phone (crisis calls) and in-person to residential and non-residential clients. Substitute Advocates are critical to staffing the shelter and programs in the evenings, weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Road to Home Program Manager

Responsible for the oversight and administration of the Road to Home program at Crossroads Safehouse, ensuring that best practices are implemented according to a domestic violence Housing First approach. Manages daily workflow, oversees housing case managers, ensures grant compliance and performs related work to support the Crossroads Safehouse mission. Participates in the DART Program with two 12-hour on-call shifts per month.

Community Relations and Training Coordinator

Processes and allocates Gifts-in-Kind donations; coordinates and facilitates the organization-wide volunteer program; performs community outreach; facilitates and delivers Core Training for all new employees, volunteers, and interns; and is responsible for all aspects of volunteer engagement. This includes attending community events with the goals of building awareness around Crossroads’ mission and volunteer recruitment. Community relations also includes coordinating with local service organizations, fraternities and sororities from local colleges, local businesses and churches, for example.

Development Associate

Reporting to the Director of Development and External Relations, this position will focus on donor cultivation and stewardship and annual and leadership gift programming, with the overarching goals being donor retention and acquisition. This position will lead the effort to apply and steward new and annual private foundation grants that support Crossroads’ programs. This position will plan, prepare and implement Crossroads Safehouse’s annual fundraiser and it will facilitate 3rd party fundraising events. This position will also lead and manage the Bloomerang donor database, ensuring data standards and system protocols are maintained. Other duties as assigned.
